P6 rule working well there with your comprehensive spares. Talking about road speed in I never run my 300Tdi above 90-95kph (Australia), not just out of being mechanically sympathetic but your fuel consumption (and noise) goes up significantly, maybe not such an issue in Europe where service stations are fairly handy. Why would you! Get a Land Cruiser or a Nissan Patrol! Bigger stronger parts are easier more room inside, etc! The days of Camel an sloggin it out with broken landies died yrs ago. It will rain a lot. I'm taking a spare wiper, complete with me. It has happened to me a few times that it flew away at night on the highway in heavy rain. I'm from Prague and we go to Bosnia a lot. If anything, there's a super Land Rover parts dealer in Sarajevo and he's got a handy, quick auto mechanic. I've already had the servo etc fixed there. There is also a large community in the Czech Republic and Slovakia on the way to UK. Don't worry, we will follow you. Good luck brother. Everything will be ok. It's a Land Rover 👍😊

Probably not obvious looking at the map, but you could have gone from Bulgaria over the border to Greece, ferry over to Italy and then your plain sailing all the way up Italy, all good roads and I think good spares availability given the popularity of landrovers in Italy

love the selecton of spares ... i only drive from scotland to germany and have a full toolbox and maybe hoses so like you i would have loads of spares for the journey you are making :)

Very similar test to Spain, but they do a lot more verification of parts, if they think a piece on the vehicle is not standard, then ask for homologation papers etc.

The propshaft sliding joints can cause vibration and grinding sound on overrun. They could be seized.

Hi mate, by the look of it your front prop yokes are 45 degrees out from one another, can you confirm? Pull the splines end out and put it straight. Ive had Two Defenders end up with weird ass cyclic resonating vibrations from that mistake alone.

That prop shaft uj is miles better than some ive seen on uk roads, grease it up and keep going.

My LHR RoW passed 3 MOTs at the sane place with the fog lamp in original position. And then failed the 4th MOT at the same test site. Soley for the fog light. Had to swap the fog light and reverse light around

Wow, thats some wear on the splines! It wouldnt take very much for them to fail completely so good job you caught that.

Where do you stop! A pair of cheap new drive members should temporarily improve the engagement on the rear halfshafts at least until you get home and can do the job properly.

Very nice video. I got a 200TDI from North Africa and it’s nice to undo bolts without corrosion. I do have some rot from sand/dirt in the frame and it looks like your frame has some spots with dirt in it from the videos. I would pressure wash those out and then spray cavity wax or internal chassis coating (thin, zinc rich paint) once done.
